FORT WORTH, TX:  Texas Wesleyan University will be conducting a canned food drive at its home basketball games Thursday night.  As part of the SAC Gives Back Food Drive, the Rams will be offering free admission to the games with any canned food item.
 
The holiday season food drive is being conducted by teams throughout the Sooner Athletic Conference.  In exchange for a canned food item, fans will be treated to some outstanding college basketball.  At 6:00 p.m. the Lady Rams will tip-off with the Defending NAIA Division I National Champion Oklahoma City University Stars.  The Lady Rams are back home after a five-game road trip against NCAA Competition.  During that stretch they notched key wins at NCAA Division I Incarnate word and NCAA Division II Oklahoma Christian.  The Stars meanwhile have won three in a row by an average of 18.3 points after dropping their season opener.
 
That game will be followed by a men's game at 8:00 p.m.  That game will be a rematch of the 2006 NAIA Division I National Championship game won by Texas Wesleyan.  At 8-0, the Rams are off to their best start since the 2010-11 season.  They will look to take control of the all-time series with the Stars which is currently tied 9-9.
