FORT WORTH, TX:  For the second time this season, Texas Wesleyan University 's Isaac Lalang has been named Sooner Athletic Conference Runner of the Week, this time for the period of October 6-12.
 
Lalang bested 171 runners including NCAA Division I competition from Incarnate Word, Texas State, Abilene Christian, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, and UT-Pan American to win the Incarnate Word Invitational. The sophomore from Eldoret, Kenya broke Texas Wesleyan's 8K school record with a time of 24:20.5 seconds in front of the second-place runner from Tarleton State.
 
Lalang's season has been nothing short of remarkable.  In his first season with the Rams, he has run five races, set five school records, and recorded four victories.
