FORT WORTH, TX:  Texas Wesleyan University head women’s golf coach Kevin Millikan announced today the signing of Ally Harvey out of Ramona, CA.
 
Harvey was a four-year letter winner for coach John Rathbun and Ramona High School.  A three-time team captain, she was named the 2010 Player of the Year and became only the second RHS player to qualify for the California Scholastic Federation.  Meanwhile Harvey maintained a GPA over 4.0.
 
 “Ally is the perfect example of the type of student-athlete we want representing Texas Wesleyan,” Millikan commented.  “She is a high achiever both on the course and in the classroom, and will play an integral role in our program’s success.”
 
The Texas Wesleyan Athletic Department announced in early December its expansion to include women’s golf beginning in the 2012-2013 school year.  Millikan, who is currently in his sixteenth year of service at Texas Wesleyan, will head the program.  Millikan previously served ten seasons as head men’s golf coach and seven seasons as Athletic Director.  He also currently serves the department as Director of New Sport Development.
